Introducing the Menu at Downtown Café

Downtown Café in General Santos City offers a thoughtful blend of robust coffee and light fare that truly honors the essence of local flavors with a refined touch. Their coffee lineup, praised for its authentic, rich, and well-balanced profile, caters to true aficionados who favor aromatic, less-sweet brews. Signature drinks such as the Gokou Matcha, Matcha Sea Salt, and Premium Hojicha Latte showcase a creative nod to Japanese influences, though some guests feel the matcha could benefit from a smoother, less grainy texture and improved milk ratio. The food selection complements the beverages well, featuring generous portions that blend unique Pinoy twists with familiar comfort tastes—ideal for sharing among friends. The cozy ambiance, enhanced by warm wood interiors and an inviting alfresco area, makes every visit feel intimate. While minor service hiccups occur, the welcoming staff and carefully curated menu make Downtown Café a noteworthy destination for both coffee lovers and light meal seekers alike.

Yep, it’s a bit pricey, but honestly not bad...they say the serving’s for 2–3, yet you can totally share it with 3–4. The matcha? Tastes good, but a bit milky and grainy... unta the matcha flavor stood out more. Maybe just needs a bit more whisking and a better milk ratio. Plus points for the great service! Staff were kind, welcoming, and super helpful in explaining the menu... and they even served water right away upon being seated (if i-compare nmo sa isa pud ka pricey na café dnhi sa Gensan ). Will definitely return to try their pastries and the chicken in a basket... *kay naglaway ko sa pikas table.
